07 Lillian's Fan Club

word was published on the internet that Jill Ree's hen Lillian died in July 2015. RIP Lillian - and our sympathy to Jill - Lillian's fan Club members everywhere are sorry to hear of the loss.

Lillian is the beautiful prize winning hen formerly pictured on our website HomePage. Lillian belonged to Jill Rees in the U.K.

Pictured directly above is "Lillian" owned by Jill Rees who lives in Evesham in the Cotswolds, England. In 2012 - Jill and her hens swept the poultry exhibitions winning first, second and third place in a local poultry show, and then first and second place in the National Poultry Show of Great Britian and finally first, second and third in the Federation Championship Poultry Show at Stafford. We consider Jill's hen, the most 'winning' example to date of Cream Legbars - or perhaps the "Cream of the Crop". Nice work Jill, and thank you for granting permission to use the photos. It seems that everyone, not just the UK Poultry judges love Lillian. Lillian can be seen frequently on the Internet. Look at the side bar to jump to the page where we will keep track of all the websites that show Lillian as we encounter them. It's called "Lillian's Fan Club"

Cream Legbar Club members can read an interview with Jill Rees in the Club Newsletter from the 2nd Quarter of 2013. Simply go to the Clubhouse and click on Publications, then bring up Vol 1 No 2 of the Cream Legbar Club newsletters.

Since the Cream Legbar breed is relatively new to the USA, folks need to know exactly what a quality Cream Legbar looks like. Search the internet and you will definitely encounter Lillian's photo if your research takes you very far. Here is a sampling of websites where Lillian has been spotted:

Robin's Fan Club

Originally this location installed in the Breeds in BYC was designed to take people looking for information on Cream Legbars to the Legbar posting. (Can you imagine being a Club member and not finding CLs in the BYC breed listing? me neither).

If you aren't aware of the Eggzy site -- it has a great way to track eggs. They are investigating a lot of other things that resonate with their 'know your food' motto.
